Past, Present, Future

Let go the past, let go the present: it is what it is and was what it was.

When I reach out to pick something up, my thought in the present has projected me into the future. Once I touch it I have both touched it in the past and am touching it in the present.

Before I actually pick it up, that event is still in the future. We only ever experience the future in our thoughts during the present moment, once the future arrives it is no longer the future, but the present.   In another instant it becomes the past.

To chase the future is madness, for it can only ever be experienced in our minds. Regretting the past is useless, it’s already cast in stone and only brings sadness.
